Power and Data Outlets
Electrical outlets and data points may be included in a dado rail or positioned on the worktop in a pedestal box or service turret.
On perimeter benches a wall mounted dado trunk is often the most cost effective solution. Worktop mounted pedestal boxes may also be used for example where the bench runs in front of a window and there is insufficient room for wall mounted trunking.
For peninsular and island benches outlets can be placed in pedestal boxes, service turrets, and dado trunking mounted on reagent shelving.
A range of epoxy coating colours is available for the pedestal boxes. They are often coloured to match the cupboard door handles. Pedestal boxes may house a single socket on one side, single sockets on both sides, double socket on one side, or double sockets on both sides.
A variety of turret designs are available which may also house outlets for gases as well as power and data.
Dado trunking on a reagent shelf allows the worktop to be kept clear.
